- 1) Make a plan
* Create a time-line when all the important steps will be done
* Set a goal - How much money do we want to make? How many pieces do we need to sell?
* Delegate responsibilities/get commitments from your volunteers.
- 2) Have a 'kick-off - Explain the process and get everyone on the 'same page'
' to get your group excited about what you are doing.
- 3) Find what motivates your particular group and develop a list and
procedure for awarding your successful fundraisers. Give everyone a
minimum number of units they are expected to sell. Find what works and
allow in your budget for payment for prizes/recognition. -- Camping
equipment for Scouts --Hockey equipment or ice time for hockey players -- Money compensation towards a trip or a camp --Personal recognition
- 4) Have an "End of the Fundraiser Party" - recognize the people that
volunteered. Award prizes for everyone that participated - a small
prize for everyone that did their minimum number of sales units, a
grand prize for your best salesperson and any othercompensation you've deemed fit.
- 5) Review your results. Fix what went wrong or make notes of what to correct next year.
- 6) Repeat the above steps every year.
